The mixing process for film score
A similar process than audio mixing process for music, but with the aim enhancing the narrative of a motion picture.
Cleaning, editing, balancing multitracks, (and more). Mixing is a meticulous stage of the music making process, where the engineer uses his technical knowledge but also his musical sensitivity to highlight the emotional depth of a piece of music.
This is a e-mixing process, we work remotely and send you back a stereo audio file ready for mastering within 5 working days.
For attending the mixing session in our Studio in Paris, please let us know in advance to schedule properly.
What do we need
Mixing is the fine-tuning of multiple audio tracks. As such we need all the separate tracks from your recording session or your production session:
Wav or aiff format
16 or 24 bit
44.1 or 48kHz
Also to let us focus on the mixing process and not file managing, please rename carefully your tracks as such:
Kick
Snare
Hi-Hats
Piano
Lead Vocal
Back Vocals
Ad-lib
FX
etc ...
Please provide the exact BPM, as well as any variations in BPM, if applicable.
Also provide a rough mix if possible. It will help us not only understand your artistic direction, but also serve as a reference for edits, timing and sometime effects.
Concerning effects and plug-ins, this is a matter of preference. While we typically prefer working with raw files, we can discuss your session beforehand to understand the role of the effects you’ve used. This way, we can determine whether they are essential to the sound or if it would be better for us to start from scratch for an improved result.
If you have any reference tracks you'd like to share to help us understand the vibe or result you're aiming for, they are really welcome.

What do we deliver
We work within 5 working day.
Our mixing service include 3 revisions. This allows you to let us know if there are any details you'd like us to address. The limitation in revision is also important for both the engineer and the client to save time: The client will carefully review the first version to identify and inform us of any desired modifications. Once the 3 revisions are completed, if you'd like to make additional adjustments, there will be a charge for any further revisions.
We will send you an Audio Stereo or 5.1 .wav file, 48kHz 24bits, with proper headroom for mastering.
You can request for an instrumental version, radio edit, extended edit, vocal up, vocal down, performance track (no vocals, or just back vocals, just hooks etc), acapellas, or stems.

5.1 mixing: 500.00€ per day

Editing (cleaning, vocal comping, alignment / timing, etc) 50.00€ per hour.
Vocal Tuning (Melodyne, Autotune, etc) 50.00€ per hour.
Stems delivery: 50.00€
Extra version print (instrumental version, radio edit, extended edit, vocal up, vocal down, performance track): 10.00€ per version.
Prices before tax. The standard VAT rate in France is 20%
